I felt like I had traveled back in time, in a good way, this is the "Old South" at it's best.
Grouper
My grouper was fried to perfection and the collard greens and okra and tomatoes were the perfect sides. Our waitress was wonderful! Always a pleasure to go to The Yearling.

Catfish Fillet
I enjoyed the fried catfush fillet! The tender crisp coating was seasoned to perfection and the fish fillet was flaky and succulent. Excellent meal!

The venison, and the dipping sauce, was absolutely delicious. I also had the alligator, shrimp, red fish, pork chops, collards, salad, and ... Everything I ordered was delicious including the dessert when we had room to order it. The staff was excellent and the decor was wonderful. I will definitely come back again and again.
Blackened Catfish over Cheese Grits
Delicious food in a funky atmosphere. My sister raved about the clam chowder, my brother loved the Reese's pie and I found d the blackened catfish over cheese grits delicious. We all shared the tater tots which were cooked just right. Throw in an extremely helpful staff and a funky atmosphere for an all around great experience.
Free Range Venison
Excellent!! Very tender flavorful and the sauce was amazing!!! We would love the recipe for that sauce!!! You should truly bottle it and sell it at your restaurant!!!
Red Fish
This redfish was excellent! It was moist, tender, delicious and not fishy. It came recommended by our server.
